AM Drop Off Update for cut out.

Good morning,
This message was sent to parents regarding the cut out drop off. The cut-out drive-through drop-off on Buena Vista will allow only one lane for entry, making a right turn only. This is to ensure our students can exit as close to the curb as possible, ensuring student safety. Please pull all the way through the lane as students exit the vehicle to allow cars waiting to turn into the cut-out to proceed.

Attention ALL Incoming 2026-2027 Kindergarten Parents!
Are you interested in giving your child the gift of becoming bilingual and biliterate? Join us for our Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Recruitment Meeting, a required step for families who wish to apply to the DLI program.

•Spanish Session: 10:00–11:00 a.m.
• English Session: 5:00–6:00 p.m.

Important: Attendance at one session is mandatory in order to apply and enroll your child in the DLI program.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS RSVP IS FOR BOTH THE SPANISH & ENGLISH SESSION. THE GOOGLE MEET LINK IS ALSO THE SAME TO ATTEND BOTH SESSIONS.

Special Education Compliance and Improvement Monitoring - Parent Survey

Parent Survey – CDE, Special Education Division

The parent survey is designed to provide the Rialto Unified School District and the California Department of Education with information on parents' experience of their child receiving special education services over the past year and how well schools are supporting parents' involvement in this process. Information gathered will be helpful in identifying areas of strength and areas that may need improvement within the school district. The survey is intended for parents or guardians of students from California school districts, involved in the current year monitoring activities.

The information you share is subject to a Public Records Act request, accessible to your local school district, and will not be handled or filed as a formal complaint. To file a formal complaint with CDE, please visit the CDE SED Complaint Process web page or call the Procedural Safeguards and Referral Services toll-free Help Line at 800-926-0648.

We encourage you to complete only one survey per student, per school year. Responses are anonymous, please do not share confidential information in the comments sections. Click on the picture below to access the Parent Survey.

Extended School Year

Extended School Year (ESY) services shall be provided for individuals with disabilities where interruption of the student’s educational programming during school breaks including summer may cause regression beyond what is typically expected.

If your student qualifies for ESY in their Individualized Education Program (IEP), you must register to attend the ESY Program. During ESY, students receive additional instruction in English Language Arts, mathematics, and social skills, along with engaging activities that are aligned to and reinforce their individual IEP goals.

Divergent Games 2026

Divergent Games 2026 - June 12th

Rialto Unified School District's 5th Annual Divergent Games will be held on Friday, June 12th, 2026. The Divergent Games spotlights the wonderful talents and abilities of students in special education who are identified as having an intellectual/cognitive exceptionality (disability) or significant physical impairment.

All students who wish to participate in the RUSD Divergent Games MUST meet eligibility criteria AND complete a registration form. All studnts that are registered to participant will receive an athlete shirt to participate.

You must be a Rialto Unified School District student to participate in the Divergent Games.

Tutoring and Enrichment Activities

Hello Parents,

It is great to see that we have so many students taking advantage of our after school tutoring. Please see the updated schedule. For the On Demand Tutoring, students do not need to sign up; just show up to the library ready to learn. For our targetted groups, please communicate with the teacher supervising the session for availability.

I hope all of you had a great weekend. I am reaching out to you to inform that next week, we will not have On Demand, Targeted Tutoring, and Enrichment programs. This does not include Think Together (including NID) nor vendor programs (NSG, CCC, drones, yoga...etc). Please see the chart below regarding Program closure days. During the closure days, late bus transportation will continue to be provided for those who already take the bus.

This Saturday is our next STEP UP. As usual, STEP UP is from 8-12:15pm. This is a great opportunity for your student to make up any absence while completing missing work, independent study, get additional support for their classes, or more practice for the upcoming state exams. Time is running out to make up absences as we get closer to the end of the school year.

Revision for Kucera Minimum Days

Hello Kucera community,

To accommodate state CAASPP testing for our students we have made some minor changes to our minimum day schedule.

Thursday April 30th and Thursday May 7th will not be minimum days. Those two school days will be a regular school day which ends at 2:41 PM.

Monday June 1st and Tuesday June 2nd will now be minimum days and students will be dismissed at 12:35 PM.
